When identifying the purpose of the doctor versus the nurse, there are no questions asked. The doctors are present as the gods of the medical team, and the nurses are present simply to obey whatever command the doctors have given them. Fast forward 55 years to the present day, the year is 2022. Now, all around the world, nurses are becoming more and more revolutionized. Today, we have nurses who are becoming everything from certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), to Nurse Practitioners (NP’s), and all those post-graduate positions that have given the nurse a job description that is very close to that of a physician.
